With one of the most energetic, driving, dance-floor-filling rhythm sections a band could hope for, two of the cheekiest and most talented horn players around, and a spine-tinglingly good vocalist and frontwoman, groovestone are one of the UK’s most sought-after function bands and their name continues to spread …

"We should have got a bigger dancefloor … my legs ached the next day from dancing so much"

"an enthusiastic and talented group - I would definitely hire them again – for any occasion"

   "they were absolutely fantastic"

Based mostly in the south of England, the group first met at Southampton University (all reading Music). From these beginnings, the band has gone on to perform at a range of events including private functions and charity events around the country, including performances at venues such as London’s 606, and Silverstone for the 2006 Classic Car weekend, as well as overseas concerts in The Netherlands and France.

The band are perhaps best known for their energetic wedding receptions and parties. They cover a range of sounds from classic Beatles (Drive My Car; Got to Get You into My Life), old soul favourites (Midnight Hour; Respect), with a pinch of funk (Play That Funky Music) and modern hits (Britney Spears’ Toxic).
